In the spring of 2010, Student Travel Tallies and Parent Surveys were collected at Waupaca Learning Center. More recently (spring 2012), a “Bike & Walk Audit” was conducted at Waupaca Learning Center and Waupaca Middle School, with the help of students and Waupaca County UW-Extension. This information will help to address safety concerns in school zones and surrounding areas. Education/encouragement efforts, such as the “Walk to School Wednesday” program, also continue to grow.
