In 2009, Student Travel Tallies 
and Parent Surveys were collected at nearly every school in the Fond du Lac School District. During that same year, “Bike & Walk Audits” were also conducted. Traffic assessments are completed on an annual basis as well. This information will help address safety concerns in school zones and surrounding areas. Education/encouragement efforts, such as Walk to School Day, Bike Safety Month, and the Walking School Bus Program, also continue to grow.
